Leaving for South Africa this coming thursday night! Finally! Haha, the last time I sat an SQ flight was during TIP. 3 years have past! Anyway, if I die in South Africa, this will be my last entry =)
Just left from class birthday at a junior's house near hwa chong. I was the only one from 05 batch there. Great to see all the juniors so youthful and bonded. Really brings out the memories. Haha, they even danced mass dance and sang those hwa chong songs... I played a bit of mahjong and bridge. Ok lar, rather happy to be there. I had to choose between attending the class birthday and going for some dinner with Andy and his friends. He wanted to introduce me to some girl. Hahahahah.... but she is not my type la, so I reckon it would be awkward if they tried to matchmake us if I went.
Booked my air tix to Perth already. Will be going from 4 - 28 June! That's a lot of days! I will most likelywe rent a car over there and drive around. But haiz, a lot of coordination to be made on the schedule, which is really taking a toll on my planning. Shiyan, Ningfei and Weizheng will be going as well, but the thing is they haven't book the air tix, which I fear the promotion will end soon.... A pity they can only join towards the end.
Gonna try things like skydive (not solo la, attached to an experienced diver), bungee jump, and maybe ride an acrobatic plane. Still thinking if I should rent a car and drive from Perth to Melbourne... which is like 3500km! It will probably take around 3 days, and I read from the net that we shouldn't drive at night because the wildlife (kangaroos in particular) will be attracted by the headlamp light and jump onto the road in front of you. Hahaha.... scary leh, they are heavy creatures and they will die in the crash + we have to pay for the car damages. So if I really decide on driving, we will have to put up at motels along the way at night.
Planning to meet the 3 at Gold Coast, and most likely try out 3 or 4 of their theme parks.... Warner Bros Movie World, Dream World, Sea World, and 1 more I forgot the name haha.... And gold coast in winter will be so cool! There will be sunshine but the air will be cooling, so damn shiok! But I heard that there are sharks lurking around there... Lol.
And diving/snorkelling at the Great Barrier Reefs! Don't think have time for that, plus water will be cold in winter... See how.
Mode of accommodation: either homestay or backpackers' inn because they are cheap! But I think for homestay, must stay for at least 2 weeks. But see how la, should have owners who can make the exception. There is farmstay in Perth as well, but haven't check out the prices. Can help them shave wool from the sheep (wonder if there is an actual term for this activity). Hahahaha.....
Maybe I will upload the schedule here in the next entry when I come back from South Africa. Or maybe in South Africa as there will be internet access there as well.
Ja Na! Till we meet!
